When you close your eyes and think about the next 10 years of your life, what is the first emotion that comes into your mind? Is it joy and peace or regret and sorrow?
Everything you do today is an investment for tomorrow.
The more you wait, the less you do.
If you want to start a business, just do it. Don’t think about the success or failure of a business that is non-existent, but take the necessary steps to make it successful.
- Research about your #industry and the business itself. Even though passion can play a critical role in the success of a business, it is not the foundation of success. Steve Job was not passionate about technology. He was a curious man who saw an opportunity and decided to grab it. He researched intensively and became the founder of the biggest technology company in the world. He was not passionate about technology but he made technology his passion.
- Vision: you must have a clear vision about your company. This does not mean a blueprint of the “how” but rather a clear image of the impact you wish to make.
- Plan your #finance: many businesses have closed due to lack of resources and poor management of cash flow.
Cash is king. You can start a business without cash but you cannot sustain a business without cash.
You must learn to manage your finances- understand the type of investment you might need to multiply your cash flow, and manage your net burn and runway rates to ensure business continuity. - Choose your business #structure: a structure is your blue print to meet certain needs and perform specific tasks. A structure provides leadership and guidance. Be clear about your business structure.
These are some few steps you could already start applying to set up your business. You will obviously need to choose a name for your company, register it, recruit staff and promote your business to make it successful. However, remember that success does not happen overnight. It requires consistency and commitment.
The best days of your life could start today. The choice is yours. #Oneday or #DayOne?
